Create model

You can create a new model in various areas of ARIS. Event-driven process chains (EPC) and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) version 2.0. are widely used modeling notations. The basics for these modeling techniques can be found in the cheat sheets EPC in ARIS and BPMN 2.0 in ARIS.

Prerequisite

You have the Designer role.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects.

  2. Click Create model.

    Alternatively, click Add Create model in the upper right corner of Models and objects or Published content.

  3. Specify a name for the model.

  4. Click the Model type box and start typing the model type you want to create. The model types whose names contain the entered term are displayed.

  5. Select the required model type.

  6. Click Group Browse for a group, then navigate to the group in which you want to save the model.

  7. Click OK.

  8. The new model is created and saved in the selected group. A new tab with the model opens and you can model the content.
