Run semantic checks in the Repository

You can check whether one or multiple models, objects, or the content of a database group comply with the modeling conventions.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Click the Database with versioning capability database you want to use.

  3. Click Semantic check Semantic checks. The Semantic checks bar opens.

  4. To change the output format, click Display symbols and connections Select output format.

  5. Select the database group or items you want to check. The name of the selected item is displayed under Semantic checks. If you have selected more than one item, the number of selected items is displayed.

  6. Select the required semantic check. Only the semantic checks that can be applied to items you selected are available.

  7. Click Start. The Semantic check is executed and the result is displayed. You can download (Download) the result.

If errors, warnings, or notes were found, the number of problems found is displayed in the Semantic checks bar.

To correct the problems, click the relevant item under Result to open it for editing, including the findings of the semantic check. Follow the instructions described in Run semantic checks for open models.

To remove the results from the last semantic check, click Delete Clear semantic check result.
