Create a simulation project

You can create a project to collect all relevant items for a simulation, for example, for an optimization project.

Prerequisite

You have the ARIS Simulation license privilege.

Create a simulation project for the Billing (car rental) process to identify the cause of the occasionally long wait times for invoices.



Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Simulation Simulation.

  2. If no projects are available yet, the simulation start page is displayed. Click Create project. The dialog opens.

    If projects already exist, the Overview Overview is displayed. Click the Project bar, then click Create Create project. The dialog opens.

  3. Enter the name Billing for car rental, and, optionally, the appearance color, an abbreviation, and a description, for example, Find and eliminate the cause of the performance issues regarding invoices.

    To use an icon for the abbreviation, right-click the Abbr. field and select Emoji from the pop-up menu.

  4. Enable Analyze results with ARIS Process Mining to transfer the simulation results to ARIS Process Mining and evaluate the data with ARIS Process Mining.

    If Analyze results with ARIS Process Mining is disabled, simulation results are generated, but they cannot be analyzed with ARIS Process Mining. In this case, you can download the data and evaluate it with a third-party tool.

  5. Click Create.

The project is created and a data set is created in ARIS Process Mining.
