Publish database

Publish the databases you want to make available under Published content Published content. There, users can access the fact sheets of the models and objects of the databases.

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration.

  2. Click Publication settings. The databases are listed.

  3. In the row of the relevant database, click Edit Edit.

  4. Select the publication mode.

    1. No publication: the database will not be published.

    2. Auto publication: the database is published automatically.

    3. Dedicated publication: a specific version of a database is published. This option is only available for versionable databases. To compare specific model versions of this or a different database that are stored in different versions, select a database and a version to be published.

    4. Manual publication: the database is published manually. This option is only available for versionable databases. You can select Request approval to enable the approval workflow for the publishing process. Therefore, you must select the Owner attribute to specify the Model owner or User group. If you select Manual publication, you can remove a published model from Published content .

  5. Activate Comparison: Enables the comparison of models that are stored in different versions of one and the same database or in different databases. If you have selected a versionable database for the comparison, you can select a specific version.

  6. Activate Companion. Activating the AI features for the database can take several minutes. When indexing is completed, AI features are available.

  7. Click Apply.

The content of the databases is published in Published content and can differ based on the selected configuration or modification set.
