Number of object definitions and databases

The following restrictions apply to your ARIS edition when you create objects, groups, and databases in a project room:

  • Maximum number of databases allowed: 25.

  • Maximum number of object definitions and groups allowed per database in workspace version: 250,000.

  • Maximum number of object definitions and groups allowed in all databases, including versions: 1,000,000.

If you exceed the maximum allowed number of objects, groups, and databases, you will not be able to save new items.

To ensure that you remain operational, we recommend the following steps:

  • Upgrade your subscription to an ARIS edition with a higher data volume. For further assistance, please contact your ARIS sales representative. If you would like us to contact you, please complete and submit our contact form.

  • Reorganize your databases or delete groups, object definitions, or versions of object definitions you no longer need. The report Output total number of models and objects helps you find the database groups with the largest number of object definitions and versions of object definitions. To avoid data loss, always back up your databases before deleting groups or object definitions.
