Connections
You can define the alias URL to be used within data feeds. Defining a URL alias enables you to shorten the link used in dashboards and data feeds. A data feed is a table containing prepared data. It consists of several columns that contain numerical values (for example, figures), text, or date values. Each row in the calculated result of a data feed corresponds to one data record.

Defining a URL alias enables you to shorten the link used in dashboards and data feeds. If you use an alias, you only specify the path to the location where the data is stored. You do not need to enter the entire URL. Furthermore, adapting the alias enables you to import this kind of data to a different server.
Prerequisite
You have the Admin role and the Configuration Administration privilege.
Your ARIS server is enabled for ARIS Aware.
Click
Application launcher >
Administration.
Click Settings.
Click Connections.
Click
Add configuration. The Add property panel opens.Enter the alias.
Enter the protocol (http or https) to be used for the communication.
Enter a fully-qualified host name (FQHN). The fully-qualified host name (FQHN) is the host name that is specified as the IP address of a computer or as a fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) in the following form: my.department.example.com. Enter, for example, myserver.mydomain.ext, where ARIS server runs. You can copy it from your browser’s URL.
Enter the port on which ARIS server runs.
Enable Use single sign-on if you want allow that data sources can be accessed without an additional login.
Enter user name and password of the user who is supposed to have access to the data feeds used by the dashboards.
Click
Save.
The alias URL is defined.
This alias URL can be used for your data feeds.
Edit an alias of the ARIS server where dashboard and feed data are stored.

In the row of the item you want to change, click
Edit . The Edit property panel opens.
Enter your changes.
Enter the password.
Click
Save.
You have edited the alias of the ARIS server where dashboard and feed are stored.
You can delete an ARIS server alias where dashboard and feed data are stored.
Prerequisite
You have the Admin role and the Configuration Administration privilege.
Your ARIS server is enabled for ARIS Aware.

Administration.
Click Settings.
Click Connections.
In the row of the item you want to delete, click
Delete.
The selected alias of the ARIS server is deleted without prompting for confirmation.
