Who can use or manage dashboards?
The following user types have different license and function privileges and individual access privileges to dashboards and data feeds.
Dashboard administrator
A dashboard administrator has the Dashboard administrator and Document management function privileges.
Has access to the Dashboards & data feeds view in the repository. But he cannot see any dashboards or data feeds.
Can import dashboards and data feeds from the file system.
Note that a dashboard administrator cannot see the imported dashboards and data feeds in the Dashboards & data feeds view.
Can export all but not individual dashboards and data feeds.
Cannot create, edit, delete, and export individual dashboards or data feeds.
Dashboard designer
A dashboard designers is an ARIS user that has at least the Viewer Pro role.
Can see dashboards if he has access to the dashboard and the dashboard is assigned to an accessible ARIS context, such as a model or the Home area.
Has access to the Dashboards & data feeds view in the repository.
Can see all dashboards and data feeds for which he has the View or Edit privilege.
Can edit and delete all dashboards and data feed for which he has the Edit privilege.
Can create new private dashboards and data feeds. Private means that by default only this user can access them.
Can assign View privileges to other users in ARIS for any dashboard and data feed for which he has the Edit privilege.
Can assign Edit privileges in ARIS for any dashboard and data feed for which he has the Edit privilege.
Cannot import or export dashboards or data feeds.
Dashboard viewer
A dashboard viewer is ARIS user that has the Viewer role.
Can see dashboards if he has access to the dashboard and the dashboard is assigned to an accessible ARIS context, such as a model or the Home area.
Has no access to the Dashboards and data feeds view in the repository.
Cannot create, edit, or delete dashboards.
